![]() Application Process & DeadlinesHere's an overview of the five-step CVF application process. 1. Letter of Inquiry: Potential applicants should prepare a one- to two-page letter of inquiry that is mindful of CVF's funding criteria. If the proposed project reflects the interests and priorities of the Charitable Venture Foundation, CVF will request a formal proposal. If not, the request will be declined in writing. Any letters of inquiry that are longer than two pages will automatically be declined. 2. Request for Additional Information: If the letter of inquiry is not declined, the applicant organization will receive a letter from the CVF Program Staff requesting more information. 3. Draft Proposals: Applicants are asked to discuss formal proposals with CVF staff prior to submission and must submit drafts of key proposal elements approximately two weeks before application deadlines. 4. Formal Application Narrative: The formal application narrative should not exceed four pages (excluding budget, board list, and essential ancillary information). 5. Final Application Package: The formal application package should include each of the following:
All grant applications submitted to CVF are reviewed, considered, and approved in connection with an established grant process. The Foundation awards grants, loans, and technical assistance to legally incorporated, IRS 501(c)(3) charitable organizations for projects, programs, and capacity building appropriate to its mission. **Please do not staple, bind or otherwise attach contents of the final application package.** Application Deadlines Letters of inquiry are reviewed on an on-going basis.
